Buzzing around

being (sacarsm) smart (/sacarsm), i've calculated that i just need to support in 2 more of such exercise, and i'll be Ord-ing!! yay!

came to a realization that my brain needs more time to be awake than my physical self.

Question:
What do you do when you have to meet Isabel and Daniel for dinner NOW, and at the same time be at vivocity to catch a movie with LiJia, Linda and Jared in exactly 2 hours time?

Answer:
Nothing. You just overwork your synapses in your brain and ponder how on earth you get yourself in such a predicament.

anyway, don't ask me how, but yea... it was done, had pastamania with bel and dan at about 7.40pm at tampines. for the first time, i tried their beef lasagna. it was... pretty normal. insufficient mozzerella cheese in my opinion. and while jia, linda and jared are at marche at vivocity.

mmmm jared declined to come for dinner at pastamania on the notion that he had NUS cell. but noooooo... seemed the poor guy fell victim to lijia's SaJiao-ing ability, and agreed to watched BeeMovie with her and linda, instead of attending cell. and having dinner with us.

don't ask me how I agreed to watch with them too... somehow I seem to agree to everything when my brain is still unconscious...

BeeMovie was ok... has its good moments. the first half of the show was abit draggy, as they were trying to establish the characters before it reached the movie climax. and the cinema we were in were so quiet! other than the obvious laughters of lijia (duh!), lin, and jake, and the man on my left, the people on the front and back rows were so silent!

could it be...

  1. The movie we watched was entitled: BEE MOVIE - The Silent Edition?

  2. There was a bill psassed in parliment yesterday that prohibits loud laughter in cinemas after 7pm, so as to not disturb other patrons?
(recall: the recent editorial letters in STforums about ppl complaining of neighbours playing mahjong noisily at night.)

  3. Singaporeans has lost their sense of humour recently? considering that fact that the examination period are now underway and individuals have deleted the "humour" section of their brain to make space for more exam-specific data? which reminds me of how flawed 'some' our examination system is. Its not a test to determine the student's Abilities (plural). But rather a test to determine the students Ability, more specifically, the ability of memorizing and regurgitation. but that is another story for another day.

  4. Singaporeans are having too high standards when watching such shows?

to be fair though... actually BeeMove did disappoint me slightly. guess that's the problem when people have high expectations of everything in life. and complaining at every single bit of imperfections. welcome to Singapore.

I enjoy reading the straits times forums, and im amazed at the little things singaporeans can complain about.

"ROAD signboards can be confusing and should be amended. Once, while travelling on the north-bound CTE, I came across TPE (PIE) - which should be shown as TPE (East) - and I lost my direction. PIE (Tuas) should be replaced with PIE (West) and PIE (Changi), with PIE (East). Similarly, CTE (Yishun) should be changed to CTE (North).

North, south, east and west are directions but not Tuas, Changi or Yishun. They are simply towns."

-By a certain someone, 10th Nov STForums-

Even non-drivers like me, understand the following sign:

In simple terms; SLE (CTE, TPE), this lane is leading towards Seletar Expressway, in the direction which links towards Central Exp and Tampines Exp. PIE (Mandai Road), means the lane is leading towards PIE, heading towards Mandai Road.

This system has been going on and well for over a decade in Singapore! sounds to me like he is a new driver in Singapore. I suggest that he study geographics of singapore before stepping his pedal. oh wait, perhaps there's no such subject in the current Education system! no wonder he doesn't know! There's no module and/or Ten Years Series for him to practice on!!

I think he wants the sign to be something like this, with more specificity:

well... anyway he has the right to feedback... I'll keep quiet for now...

wooo... i love tomyam instant noodles by myojo!
