Another step on
Blessed 2008 to all!!
It has been a great 2007. Full of challenges and experiences gained, accompanied by the myriad of emotions that saw me through the long year.
Went for Watchnight service at my church on New Year's eve. There was a moment where they were showing a slide show of the past events that took place in Lighthouse in the 2007, from January's Water baptism, all the way to December's Speedlight Hunger Camp. As the screen recollects the events on the first half of the year, my mind kept replaying back all my past personal life that took place in that same period. I was glad and thankful for the experiences God allowed me to go through, all the training in Singapore, Brunei, Taiwan. And I remembered the exact scene back in late march, how my body failed and fall in Taiwan, and the reenactment of the hospital scene with my physical struggles. And that came with the scene of the devastating news on 2nd April 2007. I couldn't fight the tears. it wasn't easy. i remembered when my christian support was so limited. with all your family and friends are thousands of miles away from you. But yet at the same time, God remained faithful. even if we become faithless.
Oh well.
As the slideshow continued, from april to october, all the good memories were back inmy mind once again. The good posting in camp, the friends forged, the relationships with people stregthen, the dinners with my family, the time spent fellowshipping with everyone in church, cell and choir. I am thankful.
A pretty happening day on new year's eve, went to catch "warlords" with Jia, serena, linda, jian han. Followed by bowling and dinner with the musicians and some choir people. Ended of the year 2007 with the Watchnight service with my cell members.
.
Hunger camp was awesome!! Finally a break and a retreat from army. Did quite some personal reflections during worship sessions, was abit sad that it only lasted 4 days. hahaha.
Memories...
A brand new year ahead. Yep... Wonder what challenges and expectations will be installed for all of us... hmm.
Have a blessed week ahead!
