A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings.

The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor.

Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 to drop that towel."

After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her
towel and stands naked in front of Bob. After a
few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves.

The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs. When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?'

'It was Bob the next door neighbor,' she replies.

'Great!' the husband says, 'did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?'



Moral of the story:
If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

The weather's improving over the past few days, thank God. I can literally hear birds chirping outside my office. What a blessed day :)

Last week, i could remember on one of the nights, as I was taking a short stroll towards Elias mall, it reminded me of the times in South Korea, when the mercury level plunged. It was almost as cold as I were to turn on my air conditioning. Yep it was comfortable though. Tucking your hands into your pocket, enjoying the cold icy-like breeze, reflecting and thinking of life.


My vocal box is healing, thankfully. I can finally hear myself say a complete sentence. Sore throat isn't as bad as before, doesn't hurt as bad when i swallow. My febrile condition has been cured too.


Too many people around me have been falling sick recently, no thanks to the weather. Must remain prayerful!

I can't hear myself

I have officially lost my voice by the end of today.

Sometimes its just irritating that one has to be restricted of certain privileges because one is ill.

Take me for example, slight fever with sore throat, yet I'm craving for a nice ramli burger and some fries!!! haha! I know its for my own good that I'm not supposed to be consuming such junk food.

But its a step of faith!!! A positive step to Act as if I'm not ill at all !! A step to be myself and behave how i would normally would, when I'm not sick!

Oh well.

"SMRT fined for Jan's 7-hour train disruption"

THE Land Transport Authority (LTA) has fined SMRT nearly $400,000 for causing severe disruption to train services betwen the Tanah Merah and Pasir Ris MRT stations on Jan 21.

This happened at 3.10am on the rail section between the Tampines and Simei MRT stations. The incident immobilised one of the locomotives and a rail grinding vehicle, rendering the tracks impassable.

Normal train services resumed at 12.45pm, after the vehicles were removed.

Investigations showed that the incident was the result of SMRT not complying with operating procedures. It had not secured the parked portion of the maintenance train, made up of a locomotive and a wagon, during maintenance works.

The locomotive's parking brake was not applied and no wheel choke was placed to prevent movement along the gradient of the track, leading to the roll-back of the parked maintenance train, which then knocked into the other vehicles.

In this instance, many commuters were distressed, despite SMRT's efforts in deploying 70 buses to provide bridging services between the affected MRT stations.

That is why LTA has decided to impose a financial penalty of $387,176 on SMRT. SMRT has up to two weeks to show cause why the penalty should not be imposed.

   -> The central idea is to gather ingredients at a nearby mart, followed by gathering back at HQ to prepare the food.

   • (A) Area of Operation
     
     -> The entire operation is located in the areas of Pasir Ris and Tampines.
     
     
     
     
   • (B) Phases and Timings
     
     Phase I - Gather the ingredients at a nearby Mart (0830 to 0915 hrs)
     
     Phase II - Preparation of Sandwiches (0915 to 1000 hrs)
     
     Phase III - Delivery of Breakfast to respective deserving personnels (1000 to 1040 hrs)
     
     Phase IV - Consumption of food (1040 to 1100 hrs)
     
     
     
   • (C) Ingredients
     
     -> Bread, Chicken Eggs, Chicken Ham, Chedder Cheese
     
     
     
     
     
   • (D) Transport
     
     -> Personnel gathering the ingredients are to take public transport (Bus) to the destination of the mart. The personnel is to be cautioned that the waiting time for the public transport can be Ridiculously long. The personnel is to have extreme patience and is reminded not to vent his/her anger onto the Bus captain should the bus arrives (if it does arrive eventually)
     
     -> Operation Early Bird will be Called Off should the bus not arrive due to some unforeseen circumstances.
     
     -> The personnel-in-charge of the delivery of breakfast will take the bus to the end destination too.

   -> Should Mas Selamat Kastari be spotted while travelling to gather ingredients or to deliver the food, the respective personnels are advised strongly not to feed him or to give him any food.

"Police shot dead murder suspect in Outram MRT"

Police officers found the body of the murdered victim lying face up in a pool of blood near some tables when they went to the hawker centre.

A description of the assailant, who had fled the scene earlier, was given to police by bystanders.

Two officers at Outram MRT spotted the suspect near the NEL platform.

When they approached him to check, the suspect took out a knife from his bag and lunged at one of the police officers.

'As the officer's life was in imminent danger, he discharged a single round at close range, hitting the suspect in the chest,' said a police statement.

The man died on the spot. Paramedics who arrived at the scene pronounced him dead at about 3.50 pm.

Superintendent Lau Peet Ming, Commander of Central Police Division, said: 'The armed and dangerous suspect approached my officers in a threatening manner at close proximity.'

We can apply the words of Paul to this critical process. “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. . . . Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers” (Eph. 4:25,29).

Spoilt Clock

Another week is almost over, the events of past 6 days will then be involved in the neural connections that aid in retaining information that one has experienced. The formation of Memories.

In life, memories are what we can hold on to, even after we've aged in the years to come.



Caught Dim Sum Dollies in the History of Singapore on Tuesday! It was a great way to end to end a working day with a spectacular comical musical performance. With its doses of parodies of life, certain policies in Singapore and our history, Serena, ShuHua and I sure did have quite a good laugh througout the night.

Duty on Thursday was tiring, as expected.

Also had a haircut and made new specs this week too!

Read some interesting comments over the net recently regarding the JI guy who's on the loose.

-> Put any anti-government activist on the streets and within minutes, police will arrive into the scene and surround him/her; However we put a limping man who (somehow) escaped from detention and he's still nowhere to be found even after more than 72 hours.

Hmmmm.


Attended Shu Fang's wedding the same day my duty ended. Talk about lack of sleep. Still managed to witness her special moment in the evening with my new specs and the jacket i bought. Still awaiting pics from Bel. Yep.

Watched "The Leap Years" after ShuFang's wedding at 2.30am. A touching piece of drama that somehow am able to identity myself, in a way, with one of the characters.



Came back from a jog just now, but before that, our cell went to send Mervyn off at the airport. Was also my first time in Changi Airport Terminal 3. Before our farewell prayer was us crazy people acting like kids at Cheers, buying cup noodles, and taking pictures here and there.

Didn't get to know mervyn much the past month or so when he was in singapore, hope there could be opportunities next time when he's back. Yep. Envy him in a way, smart guy, able to study medicine abroad. Hope he'll back after his next semester with good results!

My biological clock is somewhat screwed up since Thursday. I think i'm supposed to be sleeping now :)
